Weekend Update: Storm, heat wave, and drinks!

What a weekend!
Friday night was spent seeing Magic Mike along with every other girl in Baltimore... beforehand we enjoyed this yummy fruit punch :) Yep it was served in mason jars... love.

Oh, and the temperature was like this:

Not cool. So back to Magic Mike! If you haven't seen it, you probably should. If you have, you know what I'm talking about and probably want to see it again. I was surprised there was actually a story line (so was everyone else at the theater who just talked through the quiet parts because obvs they were just there to see some male strippers). I actually enjoyed the story line part so that makes me a minority. I thought it was actually a decent movie!

There was a crazy, unexpected storm on Friday night that pretty much tore Maryland up. We were pretty lucky but not everyone else fared so well :( Lots of trees down and lots of people without power. Our power only went out for a few minutes...thankfully. We hosted some of our not-so-lucky family members who didn't have power for 2+ days at our apartment. On a 100+ degree weekend it was not good timing for a storm to knock out power for that long. We are very thankful!!!

Not much else went on, besides errands and cooking! We ate at Wegmans again for lunch... seriously awesome sushi!
And we had froyo of course!
I love sprinkles.

Sangria in new glasses from Pier One! {On Sale 20% off!}

Baked ziti, bread, and salad- Yay for yummy, easy dinner and LEFTOVERS

I'm actually excited for the week to start. I only have 2 days of work before 4th of July/staycation!

Also, I updated the blog design! What do you think?

Of course I'm linking up with Leeann, Dana, and Sami for Weekend Update!

I hope you had a GREAT weekend!

  1. Coming over from the linkup - I was surprised that there was a storyline for Magic Mike too! And I thought it had potential but I was sad that they didn't wrap it up as well as I wanted to see it end. But maybe this means there will be a sequel? Hmm!

    I'm glad your power wasn't out this weekend. We only lost ours for a day so it wasn't that awful but I sure did whine a lot about it :) That Fro-yo looks awesome!

  2. See I really didn't enjoy the storyline for Magic Mike. It was too ridiculous for me but I loved the dancing :) Glad you didn't lose power and were able to house some of your friends that did! Thanks for linking up!

  7. Ahhh I am the only person yet to see Magic Mike! I read the storyline is based on Channing's stripping days so I'm interested lol.
