It's time for "Random Wednesday", Shanna's new link-up which I l-o-v-e.
~I'm not going Black Friday shopping. Been there, done that, no desire to do it again! It's ridiculous!
~Along the same lines, I got annoyed with Target making their employees come in on Thanksgiving day so vowed to not shop at Target this week. That lasted about 12 hours, I seriously can't stay away. I then realized that almost every other store will be open on Thanksgiving, so what am I supposed to do? Boycott every store? No. I won't be going to any on Black Friday! I just hope those employees receive over-time or holiday pay and have a good time! I would think it might even be fun to work retail during this time.
~I can't wait to go home and spend time with family. I'm so thankful for my family and friends. Everyone has been so supportive during this crazy time in my life (including you amazing bloggy friends!) and I appreciate it so much. Seriously.
~I'm happy to report that the shot glass down the disposal situation was taken care of. We had to have our disposal replaced. Times like these make me SO happy we're still renting!!!
~Last but not least, Niki from Glossy Blonde is giving away a $25 Sephora gift card to one lucky reader! I will also be making a donation to the American Red Cross for Hurricane relief in the winner's name. Enter now!!!
I'm glad you like your job! It's always weird (and exhausting) being the newbie but it sounds like you'll adapt quickly! I love Dexter but it is pretty gruesome!!! And Target lol. I was mad about the employees working on Target too and then absentmindedly went to buy some things last night! As I was walking out I was like, dang it! I couldn't stay away either.
ReplyDeletenew jobs are so stressful, but still exciting!
ReplyDeleteOh bed sheet forts, I miss you.
ReplyDeleteDexter is blood and guts the whole way through, it actually probably gets worse if I remember correctly. That stuff doesn't bother me (but damn if some tv show or movie hurts an animal, I'm done with it. still won't watch any more Walking Dead after they kill a horse in the first episode) and the story lines in Dexter are really good. But if you can't deal with the bloody, definitely stop watching cause it does not improve!
Yay for the new job!! You got this. Starting a new job is always a little overwhelming. And my sister is a manager at Target and it makes me SOOOOO mad that she has to work...really, let people spend time with their fams! And I will be one of the crazies on Black Friday...but will NOT be waking up at the booty crack of dawn. Thanks for linking up! Happy Turkey day!
ReplyDeleteI definitely refuse to shop on Black Friday. I have worked it, and shopped. Definitely preferred working, but I also never had to work the crazy hours. I can't believe stores are so money hungry that they can't just enjoy a day off. If you don't open early, the shoppers will still be there....
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!! XoXo
I like to stay behind my computer and do some online shopping on Black Friday. Not a fan of all the crowds. Hope you have a wonderful holiday once you get through today!
ReplyDeleteThat last quote is awesome! It sounds like fun... lol :)
ReplyDeletei'm not a black friday shopper either and I hate that it is starting on thursday night! I made my husband watch almost half the first season of dexter before I'd watch more because I didn't like it. But it got less graphic as time went on - however still disturbing. I'm surprised I like it!
ReplyDeleteI hope your new job goes well! :) Oh and Dexter is AMAZING! I know it can be a bit gorey at times, but...it's just so good! haha. And Target is my weakness. I didn't realize their employees had to go in until yesterday until I saw it on someone else's blog and then again on yours! I went today for a bit and they're good at getting people through the lines and whatnot.
