Today deserves a big, huge "TGIF!!!!!"

How come it's always that the shortest weeks of work seem like the longest? 

It was so hard to go to work on Wednesday and I just want it to be the weekend. Whine.

I hope everyone had a happy and safe New Years! I was so exhausted so we just hung out at home but it was great. Being sick and busy at the new job has been kicking my butt, so I've had very little energy to do much of anything.

~Thank goodness for after Christmas sales! I scored big at the outlets. $140 for 5 sweaters, pair of pants, and sunglasses at Old Navy and LOFT Outlets. I haven't shopped for myself in MONTHS and really needed sweaters. I think I did pretty well!

 ~Our beloved Redskins won the NFC East!!! 6 years ago, I would have no idea what that meant but thanks to my boyfriend who is  obsessive dedicated to this team, I am a full on fan. It took me a couple years, but I've actually learned to like football. I even understand most of it. So much so that I have a Redskins snuggie (thanks, Dad!). You could say that it's good luck, because we've kind of won a LOT of games this season. 

Why do I choose to share these parts of my life?

~I've finally kicked the sick for GOOD. I've had a bad cold, ear infections, and food poisoning all in a row but I think it's finally all over. Lets hope I didn't jinx myself.

~Over the weekend we made ice cream with my new Kitchen Aid Ice Cream Maker Attachment!!!! This thing is awesome. If anyone's interested in reading a review, I'll totally post one. Also if anyone has any recipes or tips/tricks about this thing, please share! I've only used it once but the results were amazing.
